Satguru Ravidass Maharaj Ji appeared on this earth on 15th Magh Sudi, full-moon day of Bikram Samvat 1433 which coincides with, 1377 A.D. at Seer Govardhanpur a sub-urban area of Banaras. He lived for 151 years. He was one of the leading saints of the Bhakti movement who was against the Hindu Caste-System. He was protagonist of equality, human rights and universal brotherhood, liberty, fraternity and worship of one God.He has stressed the need of establishment of Begumpura type of governance in the world.
